HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Our story truly is a "God's timing" moment. Looking back, it's incredible to see how the Lord kept us from noticing one another, even though our lives overlapped for years. We attended the same church for a season growing up, River hunted with Gabe (Chloé's younger brother), and Chloé's older siblings were River's kids' and youth leaders. Yet somehow, we never truly met until we were 21 and 22 years old at the Men's Event at Freedom Church.
River approached Chloé and started asking her all kinds of questions about her life. Chloé remembers thinking, "This is not a regular moment." Meanwhile, River was thinking, "There's a sparkle in her eyes."
That moment marked the beginning of a holy, divine appointment of prophecy fulfilled. We have watched the Lord faithfully lead us, refine us, and confirm His hand over our relationship time and time again. Who knew that this could be better than any of our wildest dreams. God did :)
And He knew exactly when love should awaken.

We have always talked about the "bricks" in our life, the small moments that over time have laid down the foundations of our future marriage. One brick at a time. We'd have an amazing conversation or go through conflict and repair and would say, "there's one brick!"
Sometimes it felt like we were building all day and other times it felt like we had to deconstruct all of our work. But we get to admire the work of the Lord's hands as THE Cornerstone of our lives and thank Him for helping us build a firm foundation in Him. We love the home we're building physically and spiritually.

Chloé was NOT physical touch until meeting River.
Swimming is their FAVORITE. Chloé actually got a wave tattoo the month she met River.
River drove over 7 hrs to Chloé's family vacation a month after meeting.
River's first mission's trip was with Chloé where she had a prophetic dream about marriage years prior.
